OnlySky is a forward-thinking platform dedicated to championing secular values in our rapidly changing world. Founded in 2024 as a successor to the original OnlySky Media (2022-2024), we combine scientific understanding with creative thinking to envision and explore multiple scenarios for how society and human experiences might evolve.

Leadership
Shawn Hardin - Founder and Publisher
A serial entrepreneur, innovator, and filmmaker, Shawn brings his diverse experience from leading tech startups and media initiatives to guide OnlySky's vision. His background spans large and small companies, blending creative, business, and technical expertise. Shawn is a USC Film School graduate and was recently a DCI Fellow at Stanford University.
Dale McGowan - Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief
Dale McGowan is a former college professor, author of 10 books on secularism, science, and parenting, and creator of several podcasts. He has managed diverse creative teams on digital platforms and led an innovative humanist philanthropy. Despite all that and a Ph.D. in music composition, Dale brings editorial expertise and a strong background in secular humanism to OnlySky's mission.
