Q: Who owns and operates OnlySky?
A: OnlySky is owned by OnlySky, Inc., a California corporation established in Q2 2024. The company was formed by the original founder of OnlySky Media to ensure the platform’s sustainability and independence after the previous non-profit organization operating the site ceased publications in March 2024. OnlySky, Inc. is fully independent, and has no parent companies or outside investors exerting control or influence over the editorial direction.
OnlySky, Inc. is led by the original founder where he serves as both the Founder and Publisher of OnlySky. All decisions regarding the platform’s editorial direction are made internally by the founder and the editorial team, led by the Editor-in-Chief.
There are no external influences or potential conflicts of interest arising from political affiliations or financial interests that could affect the platform’s content. Should any future conflicts arise, they will be transparently disclosed to our readers.
Q: How does OnlySky operate and generate revenue?
A: OnlySky's operations are committed to delivering high-quality content to the 2.6 million readers who have engaged with us since our launch in January 2022. We maintain our independence with a dedicated team of writers, many of whom have been with us for years.
Our primary revenue comes from our readers—over 90% of our income is generated by paying subscribers. While we occasionally feature advertisements from select partners in our free newsletter, our operations are largely supported by our subscriber community and contributions through the OnlySky Tip Jar.
Subscription and Account Issues
Q: I'm having a problem with my subscription, emails, credit card, or something else related to my account. What can I do?
A: First, log into your account and try to make the modifications you want there. If you still are having problems, please email us at staff@onlys.ky with the subject line "Subscription issue." Please be patient—our editorial staff also handles customer service.

Q: How can I comment on a post?
A: Comments are available for paid members. Scroll to the bottom of any post, sign in, and comment. If you are already signed in, you should see an option to comment easily.
Q: I love your logo. Do you have stickers or mugs?
A: Not yet, but we plan to have a merchandise store with shirts, stickers, hats, and swag soon. If interested, email us at staff@onlys.ky.

Subscription Necessity and Personal Finances
Q: Why do I have to subscribe to OnlySky?
A: OnlySky is completely independent. Unlike other sites with many ads, we operate solely on reader support. This means we ask readers to pay in return for unique and premium content, ensuring we are entirely accountable to you.
Q: I want to subscribe to OnlySky, but I can't afford it. What can I do?
A: We offer a free subscription to access much of the site to ensure cost is not a barrier.
Reader Submissions and Email Confirmation
Q: Do you take reader submissions?
A: Occasionally, yes. Email us at staff@onlys.ky and we can discuss it!
Q: I use an intermediary service to manage my subscriptions. How do I confirm my email when you send me a login link?
A: Intermediaries often give unique addresses that act as forwarding filters for your personal email. This may block our signup link. We recommend signing up with your personal email address, then clicking the registration link we send. Go to onlys.ky, click the orange user icon in the lower-right corner, and change the email address for the newsletter. Also, whitelist the onlys.ky domain through your intermediary to ensure messages from us reach you (we will never send you spam or share your email with other senders).

Q: What is OnlySky's corrections policy?
A: At OnlySky, we are committed to accuracy and transparency in all our writing and content. As a platform dedicated to exploring possible futures and applying secular habits of mind, we strive to ensure that all information published is factual, reliable, and forward-thinking. However, if an error is identified, we take the following steps to correct it:

- Correction Process: Once an error is confirmed, we will correct the mistake as soon as possible. Corrections will be clearly noted within the article, detailing the change made. For significant errors, a correction notice will be added at the top of the article to inform readers of the update.
- Transparency: All corrections are made with full transparency, in line with our commitment to secular habits of mind. We do not remove content to correct it; instead, we update the existing content to reflect the accurate information. In cases where we retract content, a thorough explanation will be provided, including the reasons for the retraction.
